Defining terrorism can be difficult because there is no single definition of terrorism. According to the dictionary, terrorism is a “system of terror” (Howard et al. 2012, p. 4). However, like many other definitions of terrorism, this definition is not satisfying individually because all of them offer different aspects of terrorism. One of the most widely accepted definitions of terrorism is that terrorism is a politically influenced act of terror where violence is being used as a form of a weapon by an individual or a group which can be either domestic or international to fulfill a certain kind of political agenda (Howard et al., 2012 p. 5)
